Moving
Tips
- Pack books and heavy
items into small cartons (approx. 1 1/2' square). Large cartons
filled with books can weigh up to 200 pounds.
- Let our professionals
pack your breakables. Items packed by owner are not insurable.
- A few days prior to
the move, pack in a hand-carry bag, medication, auto ownership
papers, house keys, airline tickets, personal scheduling journal,
alarm etc.
- Place a bright
sticker on items that you do not want packed or shipped. Fluorescent
price tags about the size of a penny works best.
- Keep pets locked up
and away from the movers.
- At the end of the
move, the supervisor will ask that you sign an inventory of the
items being shipped. At this point, you should walk through the
entire house for anything that may have been overlooked. Also check
the garage, outside tool shed, under the house, in the attic.
